Erectile Dysfunction can be defined as Hard keeping an erection for a more extended period. It’s due to underlying health issues like heart disease, obesity, high blood pressure, smoking, nerve issues, etc. Many ED medications are available, and many men use ED medication to treat the condition.

One in half of 4.2 million people consumes ED medications. It has become of common use for treatment purposes. ED medications give you an erection, making your sexual activity go smoothly. Without being awkward about the situation, think about how you can get cured of the condition.

Not everyone will benefit from ED medication; some may have health issues like nerves, hormones, and blood vessel problems. Therefore ED won’t work for the people. In one study, 90 % of men reported ED medication works for them. Almost 52% of people go through ED conditions.

The drug called Cialis is one of the most effective medications. More than 60% of men use and show positive results in treating ED. Let us understand more about the medication in detail.

What Is Cialis?

Cialis is the most common medication used to treat Erectile dysfunction and impotence a man would suffer from. It is also used in treating the symptoms of Benign prostatic hyperplasia, termed as difficulty while urinating, weak stream, and sudden urination feeling.

It is usually not advised nor treat the problem a person would face, such as STDs (Sexually transmitted diseases) like HIV, gonorrhea, hepatitis B, and syphilis). It does not just work after consuming the pill; to get sexually erect, you have to get stimulated by it.

It comes under the brand name Tadalafil. You can find this pill in its oral tablet form only. The Food and Drug Administration approved the drug in 2003.

How Does Cialis Work?

Cialis belongs to the drug class of phosphodiesterase (PDE) inhibitors, by working to increase the blood flow in the penis. After consuming Cialis, it will work in the human body by blocking the enzyme called PDE5 – This enzyme is produced in the inner part of the male genital part (penis). When this enzyme gets inhibited or restricted by the Cialis, This will lead to an increase in the secondary messenger (enzyme) – cGMP.

This cGMP will relax the smooth muscle located in the penis structure. Due to the relaxation of smooth muscle, the blood circulation in that area (corpus cavernosum) and the blood circulation process will lead to erection during sexual stimulation.

Consuming Cialis for people over 18 years and older adults is majorly advised. This will quickly work on people suffering from EDs and get rid of the condition they go through.

Does Cialis Cause Low Blood Pressure?

As you know, there are various side effects that a medicine or a pill affects a person. But in some situations, few effects severely impact the person. It might be helpful for some and might not for others. It depends on the person consuming it and the support the body gives.

Yes, Cialis will lower blood pressure by causing blood vessels to widen. It will increase the blood flow to the penis. It is very safe for men when someone has trouble with blood pressure issues or a history of excessive fluctuations. Therefore lowering your blood pressure before it starts to increase will cause a severe risk to the cardiovascular system or sometimes even a heart attack.

For any Alpha-blockers or nitrates you are taking to treat conditions like angina, you should avoid Cialis because combining Cialis and nitrates will lead to a drop in low blood pressure. Taking and maintaining blood pressure control is safe if you take Cialis to treat high blood pressure.

Br. J Clin Pharmacol observed the study. The study was done by non-inferiority of a single dose of Tadalafil 20mg compared with a placebo concerning 26-h systolic and diastolic pressure in treated and untreated hypertensive subjects. A placebo crossover study was taken on 114 subjects with hypertension whose ambulatory blood pressure was more significant than 140/85 mmHg. The other 40 issues had two to four classes of antihypertensive agents with ambulatory blood pressure lesser than 140/80 mmHg.

Hence, the result is overall, Tadalafil (Cialis) reduces the mean ambulatory blood pressure by 4.8 mmHg when compared to placebo. In patients with uncontrollable hypertension, Tadalafil lowered 20mg mean 26-h blood pressure.

How Does Cialis Lower Blood Pressure In PH and PAH?

Cialis is used in the treatment of PH ( Primary Hypertension). Its main focus is treating high blood pressure, so this mechanism will not necessarily work the same for normal blood pressure.

Cialis is approved for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension. That treatment aims to improve exercise activities for hypertension patients because pH is a condition with high blood pressure in the lung’s arteries. Symptoms are shortness of breath, less daunting, chest pain, leg swelling, and a fast heartbeat. This will be hard and more difficult to exercise because the drug works on it essential to improve the ability to exercise.

Can You Take Cialis If You Have High Blood Pressure?

For people with hypertension, taking Cialis and other erectile dysfunction medications such as Stendra and Levitra is very safe and effective use. People must consult a cardiologist or urologist before starting any new medication. Even though your ED medication will not impact your blood pressure, knowing about any other drug interaction between your blood pressure medicine and Cialis or any other risk factors that will cause you to take these medications together is necessary.

Will Your High Blood Pressure Suffer Cause You ED?

When erectile dysfunction, the most common cause is Poor blood to the penis, which causes abnormalities and makes it difficult for the patient to achieve a satisfactory erection during sex. Though your blood pressure will narrow the blood vessels and restrict the normal flow, this will majorly cause a patient’s erectile dysfunction.
